According to the company's latest annual report, his total compensation reached an impressive ₹94.6 crore, marking a significant milestone in executive pay within the Indian tech sector.

The total remuneration includes various components:

The report highlights a stark contrast between top executive earnings and average employee pay. While the CEO’s salary rose by nearly 8%, the average salary hike for HCLTech employees (excluding top management) was only 3.1%. Bigger Pay Package on the Horizon
HCLTech's board has greenlit an even larger compensation package for Vijayakumar for the next fiscal year. His salary is set to rise to $18.6 million (approximately ₹154 crore). This new term as CEO and Managing Director will begin on September 1, 2025, and continue until March 31, 2030.
