iPhone 18 Pro Max — Complete Feature List
Apple has officially announced the new iPhone 18 Pro Max, its latest high-end Pro iPhone. The new model focuses on major improvements in camera technology, performance, battery life and artificial intelligence. Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro lineup introduces its most advanced iPhone camera system yet, along with the new A20 Pro chip and an upgraded AI experience with Siri.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max was officially announced on September 9, 2026. Pre-orders started on September 12, while the phone is scheduled to become available from September 18, 2026.
Display & Design
The iPhone 18 Pro Max continues Apple's premium Pro design with a large display and a more refined Dynamic Island. Apple has also introduced four finishes: Black, Silver, Glacier and the new Burgundy.
Camera
One of the biggest upgrades is the new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. This gives users more control over light and depth of field. Apple has also added new Pro controls to provide greater control inside the Camera app.
Performance & Processor
The phone is powered by the new A20 Pro chip, combined with a next-generation vapor chamber. Apple says this combination delivers the highest sustained performance in an iPhone, helping with demanding gaming, video processing and AI workloads.
Battery
Battery life is another major focus. Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro Max delivers the largest increase in battery life ever seen on an iPhone, helped by a larger battery and improvements to Apple silicon efficiency.
AI & Siri
The iPhone 18 Pro Max comes with iOS 27, Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. The new AI experience is designed to understand personal context and provide more useful assistance while keeping privacy and security at the centre of the experience.
Storage
The Pro Max is aimed at users who need substantial storage, particularly for high-resolution photography and professional video recording. Apple offers configurations extending up to 2TB.
