Mumbai, August 19, 2025 — The city woke up to chaos as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a Red Alert for extremely heavy rainfall, triggering widespread waterlogging, train suspensions, flight delays, and school closures across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
